Joker Is No Joke

4 08 2009

So the big brew-haha today is that someone decided to take the Obama poster for “change” in and change it into the Batman villain Joker look-alike and with the subtitle “Socialism”.  And it’s being called “dangerous”…OOOoooh!!! Scary!

KTLA has a story on the brew-haha in Los Angeles.

Wait a minute! Why wasn’t the picture of Bush being depicted as the Joker in Vanity Fair called dangerous. WTF?

When did we loose the right to disagree with Democrats and be able to say what we want? Bunch of liberal whiners.

I have to tell you, I am very very concerned about the direction the united states is headed in, with all of these bailouts of industries, and the proposition of having a somewhat nationalized health care system. In the not so distant future I do not see the country as a whole resembling anything close to what we as Americans, no matter what your political affiliation have grown up enjoying the comforts of. I mean as far as the different industries being bailed such as the Automakers, or insurance conglomerates like AIG or a number of companies, that is not a road that in my opinion we as a country should go down. Here is the thing, our economy is currently being balanced ever so slightly by a ponzi like debt scheme known as the federal reserve. I mean through out history nearly every society that has switched from a commodity(Gold, Silver) backed currency to a fiat currency has failed. And I am not even of the opinion that we should switch back to a currency backed my precious metals. I am of the opinion that we need to stop bailing out business that were run in a inept manner, by managers, and CEO’s that were not keeping watch over the fiscal operations of their companies for any other reason, other than to drive up profits artificially get their bonuses and then cry like children for help. And I realize that is harsh tone, and not popular. And for all the people who have lost millions upon millions in the downturn in the stock market, I feel bad for them I surely do, but it goes back to old adage buyer beware. So many of the people who investing in 401ks, IRA’s and individual stock speculation, were not taking a proactive part in being kept abreast of what exactly they were investing in. They while in good faith, but also with a child like naivety blindly took advice from portfolio managers that did not have their best interests at heart, and there again did not act in a responsible fiduciary manner towards their clients. It all boils down to personal responsibility no matter if you are talking about the CEO’s, portfolio, or the actual individual investor that is putting their financial future in the hands of the collection of pipers, that led many many americans down the road of financial ruin.

As far as a nationalized health care systems I have two concrete examples for you from my personal knowledge of the situation. First off I have a family member that spent many many years serving the united states honorable and with great distinction as a highly decorated veteran of our armed forces. This person who in my opinion is a hero that I look up to for alot reasons, was medically disabled due to his service to his country. And after he was discharged and was entrenched in the VA medical system it was nothing but circus. He was told for instance that an MRI that would have helped diagnose his condition and treat him in a more proactive manner, thus giving him the opportunity for a better treatment plan, would have take 7-8 months to occur! Now I don’t care who you are, that is obviously unacceptable. And here is what it has to do with our proposed national health care. Our US veterans from the various armed services are a small percentage in relation to the total amount of people that would need to be covered if the national health care system is put in place. And if we cannot effectively take care of our wounded warriors after they have served with honor, how in the world are we gonna be able to care for millions more, when we cannot even take care of them properly now. My second example comes from a close friend of mine, who is Canadian by birth and emigrated to this country recently. Same thing as with the VA, as far as procedures having to be put off for long periods of time, not because the need was not their but because of the back log created by the national health care system. Just a though I know a good number people do not agree with me, but I feel we are headed down a road, that if we recover, will take a very long time to come out of. Hopefully we will wake up before it is too late, and all the patriots of this country will rise up and set things right.

First, yes we are heading down a bad road but there is a much deeper reason. The ultimate problem is personal responsibility. No one want to be mature enough to stand up and say “My life’s mess is my fault. I am the only one who can fix it.” This is why lawyers are legion and lawsuits abound.
Second, back on topic, our country’s media is in the hands of VERY leftist people. To prove this, just see what they say about Fox news and then look a the ratings for all news channels.
